Wear Purple Day
Wearing purple is a celebration of ageing. Hold a Wear Purple Day to show your support!!
We invite you to hold a Wear Purple Day as a celebration of ageing in which older people’s individual, collective and lifelong contributions to our society are recognised and honoured.
You might choose a time of year that has specific significance for older people such as March when Seniors Week is celebrated, or 1st October for International Day of Older Persons or to acknowledge World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on 15th June.
Or you may choose any other time of year that works for you. As a number of older people have said we get all this attention in March and then we are forgotten about for the rest of the year.
